Laser tattoo removal is the most effective and widely used method to safely and gradually remove unwanted tattoos. It involves breaking down tattoo ink particles in the skin using high-intensity laser pulses. Over time, the body’s immune system clears away the fragmented ink. There are several factors affecting tattoo removals including the tattoo’s colour with lighter colours harder to remove than dark, the age of the tattoo, depth, quality, skin type and size with larger tattoo requiring more sessions. Most tattoo removals require 6-12 sessions, spaced 4-8 weeks apart.
