What is SkinPen?
SkinPen creates controlled micro-punctures in the skin to stimulate the natural body’s wound healing response followed by subsequent collagen production whilst minimising cellular damage. It is clinically proven to safely and effectively fight aging skin, melasma and the appearance of neck wrinkles and facial acne scars. Within a few days of treatment, patients will begin to see brighter, glowing radiant skin and best results appear within 2-4 weeks after treatment. Common side effects include redness, swelling, and weeping/oozing but typically subsides after a few days. Patients may also experience an acne breakout, milia may occur but are easily treated, cold sore infection if patient has a history of, potential but exceedingly unlikely bacterial infection, as well as scarring, also very uncommon. Frequency of treatment depends on expectations and on response, the range would be between 1-5 with a minimum of 1 month between sessions.
